Time: 10:30 – 11:30 AM
Location: Bus Stop AB513 – W State St & N 18th St (Route 9)
Valley Regional Transit is celebrating a major upgrade to your ride experience—real-time bus arrival information is now live at select stops, and we’re kicking things off at State & 18th!
Come join us for a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony and learn about VRT’s new Real Time Information (RTI) displays, featuring:
✔️ Live arrival times
✔️ Service alerts and updates
✔️ Text-to-speech for accessibility
✔️ Future-ready tech from four innovative vendors
This stop is the first in a 12-month pilot program testing new RTI displays from ETA, Mercury Innovation, Urban Solar, and Papercast. Rider feedback will help us select the top-performing option for a system-wide rollout.
Whether you’re a regular rider, transit advocate, or just curious about better bus tech, we’d love to see you there!
