Bus to Brew: VRT to offer zero-fare bus service for Meridian’s Oktoberfest

VRT’s Route 30 Pine will be tapping into downtown Meridian on Saturday, October 4th to connect destinations and parking at The Village and Ten Mile Crossing to the Oktoberfest festival in downtown Meridian.

The annual festival at Idaho & 2nd promises to bring big crowds, live music, contests, and traffic.

To take the hassle out of getting there, attendees can ride to the festival on Route 30 between 10 a.m. and 9:30 p.m., with buses scheduled to arrive at stops every 30 minutes.

Service at a glance

Bus arrivals: Every 30 minutes at 21 stops along the route

Service window: 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Festival stops, toward The Village

  • AM004: Pine & 3rd (southwest corner)
  • AM007: Pine & Main

Festival stops, toward Ten Mile Crossing

  • AM005: Pine & 3rd (northeast corner)
  • AM027: Pine & 1st

Track your bus
  • Track your bus in real time with the ETA Spot app, which shows you here your bus is and how long until it arrives.
  • You can also track the 30 Pine at its route page: ridevrt.org/30.

Accessibility & rider tips
  • All VRT buses are ADA-accessible and equipped with bike racks.
  • Follow rider rules, expect crowds near festival entrances, and be mindful of downtown closures.
  • Give yourself extra time: Street closures and festival crowds may slow things down. Or, as we like to call it, “Oktober-rest.”
